Who we are

Property Guardian Listings is run by Compute and Cultivate Ltd, a UK company. For anything about your data, email hello@propertyguardianshiplistings.co.uk.

What we collect

• If you join the alerts list: your email address, the date and the wording you agreed to, the page you were on, and (if you had one open) the search you were looking at, such as the place and price limit. Nothing else.
• When you browse: cookieless visit counts (see Other people involved below). We do not ask you to make an account, and we set no cookies ourselves. The other companies that serve photos, logos and map tiles (below) do see your visit.

Why, and on what basis

We email you only because you ticked the box to say you are happy for us to (consent). You can take that back at any time. The visit counts help us see which pages are used so we can improve the site (our legitimate interest); they do not identify you.

We have not sent any email yet. When alerts launch, each email will say how to unsubscribe.

How long we keep it

Your email stays on the list until you ask us to remove it. If we have not emailed you within 24 months of you joining, we delete it. After you unsubscribe we keep only a note that you did, so we do not email you again by mistake, until you ask us to delete that too.

Unsubscribing and deleting

Email hello@propertyguardianshiplistings.co.uk from the address you signed up with and say "unsubscribe" or "delete my data". We will do it within a month, and usually within days. You can also ask to see what we hold about you, or to correct it.

Other people involved

• Umami (analytics, if switched on): counts visits without cookies and without keeping anything that identifies you. The count is sent to Umami's servers.
• Our hosting provider, which runs the site and stores the email list. They process it for us and may not use it for anything else.
• The firms' own sites: listing photos and firm logos load straight from the firms' own websites, not from us. So the firm whose photo or logo is on the page sees your IP address, and may set its own cookies. We do not control that. See About.
• OpenFreeMap (map tiles): the map loads its tiles and labels from OpenFreeMap's servers, so they see your IP address and may set their own cookies. We do not control that.

We do not sell your email or share it with advertisers.

If you are unhappy

Please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
